Toyota (GB) PLC have kindly agreed to support the Epsom and Ewell Citizens Advice Bureau Mental Health Outreach project with a donation of £5000. This was badly needed to plug a shortfall in funding for 2011. The project is also part funded by NHS Surrey.
Tom Sheriff, manager at Epsom and Ewell Citizens Advice Bureau, said:
'Our mental health outreach service offers in depth advice on matters such as debt, welfare benefits, housing, family and employment to over 100 clients throughout Epsom and Ewell and East Surrey who suffer severe and enduring mental illnesses such as bi-polar, schizophrenia and clinical depression. Because of their illnesses, they are not able to access bureau services in the normal way. They are a particularly vulnerable group of clients and we are very grateful to Toyota (GB) for allowing us to maintain the level of support we give these clients.'
Thomas Rosselle, Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility & Environmental Affairs added:
"We are delighted that our donation will allow the project to continue this year. We understand how valuable the work of the CAB is to our local community and we too wish to take an active part to contribute as much as possible"
